Folk Art in Rhyolite Ghost Town
Rhyolite is a gateway ghost town to Death Valley National Park located in Nevada. I learned about this place while researching ghost towns during my stay in Bullhead City, Arizona. I'm a geek for ghost towns! The old buildings of Rhyolite requires the imagination to complete a picture of what civilization must have looked like during the height of its era. In other words, don't expect to be impressed by the old remaining buildings that are no more than a frontal frame. However the charm lies within the quirky folk art that the proceed the actual ghost town. Most notable are the ghostly last supper and giant pink lady. Other honorable mentions are the glass bottle house and ghostly disciple with beach cruiser. |
