After worrying about what kind FUBAR would keep me from
getting to Africa, I’m finally here, safe in the town of Arusha. Getting here
from the airport wasn't overly challenging, and despite a couple of people trying to scam me.
I am staying at the Sakina Campsite which is 3 km outside of
the center. I am the only guest here. It would nice to chat with other
travelers, but I don’t mind the solitude which helps me write.
There is nothing nearby. For food, Robert, the guy who runs
the hostel, escorted me to a hotel with a restaurant that was a 5 minute walk
away. The place was completely empty. I ordered Chinese chicken fried rice
which wasn’t that grate but edible at the least.
